Azerbaijan’s car market grew slightly in June

The dynamics of Azerbaijan's car market grew slightly in June, "Property Market Participants" public organization reported on Thursday referring to the results of monitoring in car market of Baku.

According to the report, the increase of demand and dynamics in car market hasn't significantly affected the prices. In particular, the average price of car in market increased to 16,460 manat in June, compared to 16,200 manat in May.

"The increase in dynamics in June has affected the time for car exposure, which has decreased by 1.2 percent - to 40.7 days - in the used car market, according to the experts.

During June, the organization conducted monitoring in used car market. Around 1,500 cars became the subjects of research, about 21.4 percent of which were introduced to the market in June and about 78.6 percent remained from the previous months. The mass flow of second-hand cars to the market has significantly decreased since early 2013.

The volume of offered "Mercedes" cars, which keep leading position in second hand market for a long time, decreased by 1.4 percent in June compared to May. However the share of these car brands amounts to 35 percent in the market, the report notes.

The decrease in offering on nine major brands forming the portfolio of offerings was observed in June. The largest decrease in offering was recorded on "VAZ" car brands - 3.7 percent.

Around 86.7 percent of the market falls to the share of above mentioned nine brands and remaining 13.3 percent falls to the share of over 80 brands of over 20 producers.
