The Kazakh Senate (parliament's upper chamber) ratified an intergovernmental convention on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of income tax evasion with Luxemburg on Thursday, the Senate press service said.
According to the agreement, taxpayer has an opportunity to pay the tax only once in one of the agreed states. The second country considers the tax paid or excludes the gross income which was taxed in another state from taxable sum.
The Convention is applied to all taxes imposed on total income or on elements of income including taxes on gains from the alienation of movable or immovable property and taxes on the total amounts of wages or remuneration paid by enterprises, as well as taxes on accretion to the capital.
