Turkey's tourism sector is being developed daily, Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Omar Celik was quoted as saying by Anadolu agency today.

According to Celik, at present Turkey is among the top 10 developing countries in the field of tourism.

He also stressed that the country will continue implementing reforms for the development of its tourism sector.

Turkey's revenues from tourism increased by 4.7 percent in the third quarter of 2013, compared to the same period of 2012, the Turkish Statistical Institute said earlier.

Turkey gathered some $11.579 billion from the tourism business in July-September.

About 79.6 per cent of the total volume of revenues fell to that from foreign tourists.

According to the institute, about $8.367 million was obtained during personal trips and some $3.212 million within tourism package sales.

"The number of tourists increased by four per cent in the third quarter compared to the same period of 2012," the institute said.
