Over 33.5 million tons of cargo was transported through the territory of Azerbaijan by road in January-October 2013 which is 3.98 per cent more than the same period last year, Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee said today.
According to the report, the export of goods during this period amounted to 25.34 million tons with imports at 8.08 million tons.
Some 191,000 tons of cargo was transported by ship, 2.32 million tons by train, 483,380 tons by road, 53,550 tons by planes and transportation by stationary vehicles amounted to 22.38 million tons for the first 10 months.
Some 1.76 million tons of cargo was imported by ships, 4.72 million by train, 1.52 million tons by road and 15,210 tons of cargo by plane.
