Azerbaijani entrepreneurs have been invited to participate in the project for the privatization of enterprises in Pakistan, a message posted on the website of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy and Industry on Nov. 20 said.
"Azerbaijani investors can participate in the privatization of state-owned enterprises in Pakistan, operating in the sphere of food processing and heavy industry, banking, trade, construction, architecture, transport and communication, energy, tourism, light manufacturing, natural resources and environmental protection," the message said.
According to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Pakistan amounted to $976,340 in January-October 2013. The import of Pakistani goods to Azerbaijan amounted to $948,080 and accounted for the major part of the trade turnover between the two countries. Around $28,260 worth of products was exported from Azerbaijan to Pakistan during the reported period.
