Kazakhstan to reduce export and import time of goods

"It is planned to implement a number of measures for the improvement of Kazakhstan`s positions on "International business" index of the World Bank `s (WB) "Doing Business" ranking, "Ministry Of Economy And Budget Planning Of The Republic Of Kazakhstan, Erbolat Dossaev said at the regular government meeting on Feb. 25.

"In order to reduce the import and export time, it is proposed to fixate norms in legislative level on the introduction of online customs declaration and the use of online documents and certificates while implementation of export-import precedures," he said.

The measures contributing to the reduction of cargo transportation time through analysis on time- determination for cargo transportation in Kazakhstan -China direction, on the introduction of preliminary informing on container cargo, as well as infrastructure development of the railway passage points.

"For the reduction of the number of documents required for export-import operations, it is proposed to cancel two documents reflected in the report of the World Bank," the minister said.

Some 10 documents are required for export and 12 for import in 2013, in accordance with the World bank report, he further noted.

"Thus, the above said measure will allow to reduce the number of the documents for export by 8 and for import by 10, "Dossaev said.

It is proposed to hold consultations with the World Bank experts on the clarification of the requirements, provided by the Kazakh legislation in the sphere of international trade, according to the minister.
