The G-Global info-communicative platform hosted an online conference on the theme "Draft Plan for overcoming long-term consequences of the global financial and economic crisis for UN Member States" in preparation for the second World Anti-Crisis Conference to be held in the Kazakhstan capital, Astana, on 21-23 May 2014.
Mark Uzan, director of the Renovating Bretton Woods Committee, moderated the online-conference in which international and Kazakhstan experts participated. They reached agreement on a consolidated draft Plan for overcoming long-term consequences of the global financial and economic crisis for UN Member States (Plan) on which the international expert community has been actively working.
The objective of the Plan is to create an effective and globally coordinated policy and reform of the world financial-economic architecture. The organizers issued an invitation to international experts to view the consolidated draft Plan and add recommendations by 18 April 18 2014 on: http://www.group-global.org/ru/page/view/515
The Plan, based on democratic principles, is aimed at development of effective measures against economic and financial recessions, their prevention in the future and provision of long-term balanced economic growth. The G-Global info-communicative platform has been hosting active discussions on Plan since 1 July 2013. Within this timeframe, users of the G-Global portal, among them experts of international organizations, research centers and financial institutions, NGO's, business community and science, politicians and public activists, have published over 13,000 research papers and reports, 45,000 expert reviews and commentaries, as well as over 300 video-conferences, all contributing to the effective development of the Plan. The online conference became one of the key events in the discussion of the Plan.
The draft of the Plan for UN member countries is planned for adoption at the II World Anti-Crisis Conference (WAC) to be held with the support of the UN General Assembly (resolutions A/RES/68/201 "International financial system and development" dated 20.12.2013) on 21-23 May 2014 in Astana.
