Astana, Kazakhstan, April 23
By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:
Kazakh airline Air Astana will resume regular flights to Dubai (UAE), the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications said on April 23.
"Almaty-Dubai flights will be made 11 times a week from September 1, 2014, namely, by Air Astana - seven times a week and Arab Air Carrier Flydubai - four times a week," according to a statement.
The flights from Kazakhstan to Dubai were ceased in October 2010 due to a lack of proper authorization of Dubai's aviation department. Therefore, the Kazakh airline Air Astana began making the regular flights to Abu Dhabi, according to the statement.
As a result of negotiations among the ministry, the Kazakh airlines and Dubai's aviation departments, the Almaty-Dubai flights will be resumed, according to the report.
