Tehran, Iran, May 4
By Milad Fashtami - Trend:
Iran has stopped importing cattle meat from Australia and Armenia.
Ali Khandanrou, Head of Iran Cattle Meat Producers Union, said that the government will no longer provide the union with dollar at the rate of the forex center, Iran's Fars News Agency reported on May 4.
"Currently we are only importing meat from Brazil," he said, adding the importers show no interest in importing meat from other countries.
"Importers have also stopped importing meat from Pakistan," he said.
Khandanrou, however, said that the country will face no meat shortage.
