As of January-April 2014, the Azerbaijani metallurgical industry and enterprises produced products and rendered services worth 124.8 million manat, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on May 20.
Metallurgical industry production decreased by 2 percent, while finished metal products increased by 13.8 percent.
Some 17,300 tons of iron casting were produced during this period or 28 times more than in the same period of 2013. Some 10,900 tons of steel pipes were produced during this period or 68.2 percent less than in the same period of 2013.
The volume of ferro-concrete reinforcement production hit 72,700 tons in the country during this period or by 12.2 percent less compared to the same period of 2013.
The volume of exported pipes made from ferrous metal hit 10.048.9 tons (to the amount of over $9.5 million) in January-March 2014, which is by 53.4 percent (in monetary terms by 54.6 percent) less compared to the same period of 2013.
