The Azerbaijani metallurgy industry and the enterprises produced goods and rendered services in the amount of 338.3 million AZN in January-October 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on the results of the 10 months of 2014.

The official exchange rate is 0.7843 AZN/USD on Nov. 17.

The production volume of the metallurgy industry decreased by 2 percent, while the production of finished products increased by 11.4 percent.

Cast-iron production in the country amounted to 1.216.3 metric tons in January-October, which is 26.2 percent less than in the same period of 2013. During the reported period, steel pipes were made in the amount of 29,500 metric tons, which is 48.2 percent less than in January-October 2013.

The reinforcement production volume amounted to 184,400 metric tons in the country during this period which is 7.5 percent less than in the same period of last year.

In January-September 2014, the volume of export of iron pipes made up 23.602.1 metric tons (over $24 million) which is 44.6 percent less (in monetary terms - 41.7 percent less) compared to the same index of 2013.
