A total volume of Azerbaijan's GDP amounted to 59 billion AZN in 2014 or by 2.8 percent more than in the same period of 2013, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee's report as of Jan.-Dec. 2014 said.

It is reported that the nominal GDP growth amounted to 1.4 percent.

GDP per capita increased by 1.5 percent and made up 6264.1 AZN ($7985.9) during a year, the report said.

Some 68.6 percent was formed in the field of production during this period. The value added share generated in industry makes up 41.5 percent, construction was 12.5 percent, agriculture, forestry and fishery was 5.3 percent. Some 33.4 percent of gross output was generated in the service sector.

Net taxes on products and imports amounted to 7.3 percent of Azerbaijan's GDP.

Around 7.9 percent of GDP in the sector of services accounted for trade and repair of vehicles, 4.5 percent - transport and warehousing, 2.2 percent - tourist accommodation and catering sphere, 1.8 percent - the information and communication services, 17 percent - social and other services.

The non-oil sector of the economy increased by 7 percent compared to the same period of 2014. Its share in GDP hit 61 percent. The volume of value added production in the oil and gas extraction and processing hit 39 percent of GDP.

The volume of value added production in Azerbaijan`s construction sector increased by 9.1 percent, tourist accommodation and catering - 18.2 percent, information and communication services - 15.1 percent, trade and repair of vehicles - 10 percent, transport and warehousing - 4.7 percent, social and other services - 4.9 percent in 2014 compared to the same period of 2013.

Gross production in agriculture, forestry and fishery decreased by 2.6 percent.

The official exchange rate is 0.7844 AZN/USD on Jan. 19.
