Azerbaijan’s 2015 budget revenues executed by over 88% (UPDATE)

Revenues of Azerbaijan’s state budget were executed by 88.2 percent and amounted to 17.153 billion manats in 2015, compared to the forecasted 19.438 billion manats, according to operative data, said Azerbaijan’s Finance Ministry Jan. 21.

Revenues of Azerbaijan's state budget were executed by 88.2 percent and amounted to 17.153 billion manats in 2015, compared to the forecasted 19.438 billion manats, according to operative data, said Azerbaijan's Finance Ministry Jan. 21.

The state budget expenditure was executed by 84.3 percent, and stood at 17.787 billion manats.

The budget deficit was 633.6 million manats.

The Taxes Ministry has ensured the execution of the tax revenue collection forecast at 100.1 percent. That's why, some 7.118 billion manats was transferred to the state budget or by 4.5 million manats or 0.1 percent more than in 2014.

Some 70.5 percent or 5.018 billion manats of these funds accounted for the revenues from non-oil sector, which is 711.6 million manats or 16.5 percent more than in 2014.

The State Customs Committee fulfilled the forecast of deductions by 100.1 percent, by transferring 1.592 billion manats to the budget (a 81.1 million manats or 5.4 percent growth during a year).

The income from the organizations financed from the state budget amounted to 222.6 million manats or by 7.4 percent or 15.3 million manats more than in 2014.

Other income amounted to 90.5 million manats, which is almost twofold more than the projected 48 million manats.

SOCAR (the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan) transferred 8.13 billion manats to the state budget.

Some 31.9 percent or 5.666 million manats in the state budget expenditure structure accounted for social expenses (payroll, scholarships and social benefits, food and medicament expenses), which is 3.4 percent or 188 million manats more than in 2014.

Some 58.2 percent or 10.362 billion manats worth expenses accounted for current expenditure, 37.8 percent (6.721 billion manats) - capital expenditure, four percent (704.4 million manats) - state debt servicing.

The communication and transportation expenditure increased by 35.4 percent (31.2 million manats), the general state services - by 24.4 percent (347.6 million manats), defense - 12.2 percent (184.7 million manats), economic activity - 10.2 percent (31.4 million manats), agriculture, forestry, fishery, hunting and environmental protection - 8.5 percent (42.9 million manats), health care - by 6.4 percent (42.9 million manats), education - 3.3 percent (51.3 million manats), the maintenance of the judiciary, law enforcement bodies, prosecution bodies - 0.2 percent (2.2 million manats) in 2015 compared to 2014.

The state investment expenditure amounted to 4.994 billion manats in 2015 (a share in the expenditure structure was 28.1 percent).
