Seventy-one countries have confirmed their participation in the EXPO 2017 international exhibition to be held in Astana, the Kazakh national company Astana EXPO 2017 said Jan. 25.
Latvia and Switzerland were among the last countries to confirm their participation in the exhibition.
Kazakhstan will for the first time hold the EXPO in 2017. The exhibition will run from June 10 to Sept. 10.
The topic of the exhibition will be "Energy of the Future."
EXPO has been held since 1851.
