Azerbaijan will be able to keep the GDP growth pace in 2016, Tahir Budagov, the Azerbaijani chairman of the State Statistics Committee, said.
"If the world current processes had been governed only by economic issues, it would have been easier to make a forecast," he told reporters Jan. 27. "But at present, the world economy is greatly influenced by the political aspect."
Azerbaijan's real GDP growth was 1.1 percent in 2015, GDP growth in non-oil sector - 1.1 percent. As of 2015, Azerbaijan's GDP increased up to 54.4 billion manat.
The official exchange rate is 1.6050 AZN/USD Jan. 27.
