Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct. 3

By Azad Hasanli – Trend:

Zaminbank plans to begin the registration of Caspian Money Transfer in mid-October in a country other than Azerbaijan, deputy chairman of the bank’s board Nigar Nagiyeva told Trend Oct. 3.

The work of the first Azerbaijani international money transfer system – Caspian Money Transfer – founded by Zaminbank, was suspended after the revocation of the bank’s license July 21, 2016.

Caspian Money Transfer is a subdivision of Zaminbank and the existing legislation doesn’t allow it to operate. Therefore, Zaminbank’s management will have to register the system abroad to ensure its work.

Earlier, Nagiyeva told Trend that Zaminbank doesn’t intend to sell the Caspian Money Transfer and plans to register it in Russia or Turkey.

Caspian Money Transfer operates directly in all the CIS countries and provides money transfers to the countries in Europe and Americas through partnership systems.

Zaminbank was launched Nov. 16, 1992.
