Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with five main trade partners reached 2.79 billion manats in January-April 2017.
The figure accounts for 49.9 percent of all volume of the country’s trade turnover, says a report of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee.
In January-April 2017, Italy ranked first in the list of Azerbaijan’s foreign trading partners with a trade turnover of $879.2 million and a specific weight of 15.71 percent. Italy is followed by Turkey - $729.76 million (13.04 percent), Russia - $524.69 million (9.38 percent), China - $395.56 million (7.07 percent) and Germany - $260.75 million (4.66 percent).

Italy also remains leader for consumption of Azerbaijani goods. The country accounted for $797.07 million (23.23 percent) of Azerbaijan’s total export volume.
Italy is followed by Turkey - $370.88 million (10.81 percent), China - $183.79 million (5.36 percent), Portugal - $179.73 million (5.24 percent) and Israel - $177.14 million (5.16 percent). The share of these countries in total export volume of Azerbaijan is 49.8 percent.
In January-March 2017, Azerbaijan imported goods worth $406.36 million (18.77 percent) from Russia. Russia ranked first for this indicator and was followed by Turkey - $358.88 million (16.58 percent), China - $211.76 million (9.78 percent), Germany - $108.1 million (4.99 percent) and Ukraine - $98.38 million (4.54 percent). The share of these countries in total import volume of Azerbaijan is 54.66 percent.
Azerbaijan’s foreign trade operations rose by 11.35 percent and amounted to $5.6 billion in January-April 2017, as compared to the same period of 2016.
