Kazakh construction companies commissioned buildings and facilities worth 3.5 trillion tenge in 2017, which is 7.6 percent more than a year earlier in terms of value, and 1.9 percent in terms of volume (inflation adjusted).
More than a third of all construction work was held in Astana (608.5 billion tenge, 6.9 percent more compared to 2016) and Atyrau region (563.7 billion tenge, 1.7 percent less than in 2016), Energy Prom reported.
The third leader in the construction sphere of the country is Almaty agglomeration (Almaty - 314.3 billion tenge, 8.3 percent more year on year, and Almaty region - 256.8 billion tenge, 5.8 percent more year on year).
The largest part of all construction work (21.8 percent) accounts for motorways, streets, roads, etc.
Large-scale republican and international infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan are being implemented within the framework of the "Nurly Zhol" State Program for Infrastructure Development for 2015-2019.
