Uzbekistan's position in the Index of Economic Freedom 2018, compiled by The Heritage Foundation, has worsened.
The country's positions deteriorated by 0.8 points. In the updated index, the Central Asian republic took the 152nd place.
The Heritage Foundation placed Hong Kong as the territory with the freest economy in the world.
Singapore was ranked second and New Zealand the third.
Earlier, the Uzbek government repeatedly declared that Uzbekistan intends to improve its positions in international rankings.
Uzbekistan plans to rise to the 40th position in the Doing Business ranking of the World Bank (WB) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) by 2022. Last year the country ranked 87th.
