The number of Russian citizens who visited Turkey in January 2018 increased by 28,210 people, the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism said in a report.
During the reporting period, 68,334 Russian citizens visited Turkey.
According to the report, 4.68 percent accounted for the share of Russian citizens in a total number of foreigners who visited Turkey in January 2018. İn January the figure stood at 3.80 percent.
According to the report, 1.4 million foreigners visited Turkey in January 2018. Russian citizens rank fifth among foreign citizens who visited Turkey in January 2018.
"Iranian citizens rank first among foreign citizens who visited Turkey in January 2018 (154,296 people), followed by Georgian citizens ranking second (150,849 people), Bulgarian citizens ranking third (119,296 people) and German citizens ranking fourth (86,875 people)," the report says.
