The strategy of Kazakhstan’s Kazmortransflot National Maritime Shipping Company LLP in the sector of oil cargo transportation in the Caspian Sea is aimed at preserving the position of one of the leading tanker fleet operators in the Caspian Sea, a source in the company told Trend.

“The fulfillment of this task will be related to increasing the share of transportation of export flows of Kazakh oil cargoes through the port of Aktau to 100 percent and ensuring safe, reliable and cost-effective services that will entail an increase in net income from the transportation of oil cargoes,” the source said.

The source also noted that in order to effectively achieve its goals, the company intends to launch swap operations in the direction of Iran, and, with the support of the KazMunayGas oil and gas company and the government of Kazakhstan, to make efforts to preserve and develop the Southern route (Aktau[Kazakhstan]-Baku[Azerbaijan]-Batumi[Georgia]).

The company also plans to improve the quality of oil transportation services in order to meet the high international requirements of major consignors through the use of innovative technologies and the introduction of modern technical solutions, according to the source.
