Russian distributor of mineral fertilizers to up supplies to Azerbaijan

PhosAgro-Region, the largest distributor of mineral fertilizers in Russia and CIS, plans to double the supply of complex fertilizers to Azerbaijan, Russian media reported citing PhosAgro-Region General Director Andrey Vovk on May 18.
He said the company estimates potential of the complex fertilizer market in Azerbaijan at 150,000 tons a year.
Vovk stressed that the Azerbaijani government pays unprecedented attention to the development of the agro-industrial complex, including intensification of agricultural production through the use of modern mineral fertilizers and crop management technologies.
Azerbaijan, according to him, can become an example for its neighbors in terms of rational use of resources for the development.
PhosAgro is a Russian chemical holding company producing fertilizer, phosphates and feed phosphates. The company occupies one of the leading positions in the market of mineral fertilizers of the CIS. Over the past year, the company supplied over 750,000 tons of products to the CIS countries.
