The glass producing enterprise in the Ovadandepe town of Akhal velayat (region) of Turkmenistan has sent for export 150,000 square meters of sheet glass, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.
Contracts with the companies of Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan have been signed.
The entire range of commercial glass and glass containers is now widely presented by the Ministry of Industry of Turkmenistan at the state commodity exchange.
The company, which started functioning at the beginning of the year was built in the framework of the state program on import substitution.
The project was implemented by Turkish Tepe Turkmen Insaat ve Ticaret Anonim Sirketi Company.
The company, with a capacity of 7.2 million square meters of glass produces transparent and tinted, laminated and tempered glass for the manufacture of windows and double-glazed panes, and bottle containers for the food industry and the medical industry.
Production is established on the basis of local raw materials: quartz sand, dolomite, limestone and other components.
