The unified register of micro, small and medium-sized businesses will be created in Azerbaijan, Orkhan Mammadov, Executive Director of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises said in an interview with Trend.

He noted that, the creation of this register will be an important step in the issue of improvement of the targeted orientation of measures of supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and improvement of the efficiency of regulation.

Mammadov said another important point is the process of creating a single electronic register of G2B (Government-to-Business) services: this work is entrusted to the Agency by the decree of the head of state.

"The register provides for the issuance of official documents and the provision of services rendered to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises by the central and local executive bodies, and state legal entities. The register will allow to determine total number and area of services provided by the listed structures, collecting and systematizing information about services, combining information systems used to provide services, as well as identifying similar services and eliminating repetitions, and conducting analysis, projection and monitoring of services. The register will be of great importance in terms of providing information and ensuring the availability and transparency of services delivered to entrepreneurs," Mammadov said.

The head of the agency added that before the creation of the register, more than 100 services of 35 organizations will be provided through SME houses.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the approval of the Statute of the Agency for Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises on June 26.
