As many as 92,824 Turkish citizens were provided with workplaces in Turkey in August 2018, which is 6.4 percent more than in the same period last year, the Turkish Employment Agency (ISKUR) told Trend on Sept. 14.
Out of the total number of the employed, 36 percent are women and 64 percent are men, according to ISKUR.
"Among the jobs provided in August 2018, 99.4 percent accounted for the private sector," ISKUR said.
During the first eight months of 2018, the number of Turkish citizens provided with jobs amounted to 762,933 people, of whom 66 percent are men and 34 are women.
"A total of 2.751 million people were registered as unemployed in Turkey in August 2018," ISKUR said. “Fifty-two percent of them are women and 48 percent are men.”
