Prestij Naxcivan Pivesi LLC, a beer producer in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, intends to begin to export its products to the Russian market in the medium term, director of the company Seyfeddin Rahimov told Trend.

“Presently, beer products fully cover the domestic demand of the population in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and are being sold in other regions of Azerbaijan,” Rahimov added.

"We intend to expand production to have additional products which we can export,” he added. “I do not think that by the end of the year we will be able to achieve the desired volumes, but we plan to increase production capacity in the next year and a half.”

“First of all, we plan to export beer to the Russian market,” he said. “We believe that this route is the most profitable in terms of logistics, as well as due to the high demand for beer."

“Besides alcoholic beverages, the company produces varieties of lemonades, which are also sold in the domestic market,” Rahimov added. “We do not plan to export lemonade due to the small production and the products cover domestic demand in Nakhchivan.”
