The remaining funds will be spent by the end of the year, Rafiepour added, Trend reports referring to Young Journalists Club.

Before the sanctions were imposed, the Veterinary Organization together with the private sector carried out measures related to medicines and vaccines, he said.

More than 2,000 veterinary medicines were imported, Rafiepour said.

Although there were problems with currency rate over the past week, presently, Russia, China and Turkey are cooperating with importers and manufacturers.

As for bird flu, last Iranian year (started on March 21, 2017) more than 12 million birds were destroyed, he said.

However, this figure is about 700,000 this Iranian year, Rafiepour said.
