Iran’s tea export significantly increases

Iran’s tea exports in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) have increased by 51 percent as compared to the previous year, said Habib Jahansaz, the head of Iran’s Tea Organization, Trend reports via ISNA.

He noted that in the current Iranian year, so far, over 25,000 tons of tea was produced in the country.

During the period, Iran’s tea exports were about 13,000 tons, he said.

Increase in the tea exports brought $17 million to the country, Jahansaz said.

The Iranian tea is completely healthy, he said, adding that the fragrance and taste of the Iranian tea have ensured a special place for this product in the market.

The Iranian tea is especially popular in India, Uzbekistan, Russia, Iraq, Germany and France, Jahansaz added.
