By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:

A feasibility study for the construction of a dairy plant on the territory of Azerbaijan’s Aqropark Yalama has been prepared, Zaur Aliyev, director of the aqropark, told Trend on Jan. 18.

“The work on the construction of the plant may begin after the approval of the work plan at the management level of the plant,” he said.

"According to our expectations, the project will be approved during the next two months,” Aliyev said. “The project cost is estimated at about 15 million manats. According to our estimates, the daily production capacity of the plant will reach 50 tons."

The products will be supplied both to the domestic market and for export. The priority sales markets for dairy products are such countries as Russia, Kazakhstan and the Arab countries. The company will produce milk, butter, milk powder and cheese.

The creation of aqroparks was launched in accordance with the president’s instructions to accelerate the development of the non-oil sector and use intensive technologies in the manufacturing sector.

Aqroparks play an important role in expanding export to the foreign markets, creating national brands, forming a coordinated unified system in the field of agriculture, training qualified personnel in the agricultural sector and creating new jobs.
