Turkish company Yildirim Holding A.S. started to develop a conceptual design for a new passenger terminal at Tashkent Airport, Trend reports with reference to Podrobno.uz.

A new terminal for arriving passengers of international airlines with a capacity of up to 1,200 passengers per hour was put into operation at the Uzbek capital's airport on June 15, 2018.

There are "green" and "red corridors", 4 luggage belts, 24 passport control points, a visa support point, two currency exchange points, two duty free shops and two cafes.

There passport control time was reduced to 7-10 minutes. Thus, arriving guests and citizens of Uzbekistan are able to complete all formal procedures at the airport in 20-30 minutes.

There are 4 passenger terminals, 2 runways and 101 parking places for aircraft of various types at Tashkent Airport. From the capital's airport, flights are carried to 10 domestic and more than 40 international destinations.
