The best way to get out of the crisis in Iran's coal industry is to increase investment in this sector, an official with Iran Coal Association Saeed Samadi said, Trend reports via Young Journalists Club news agency.

Samadi noted that if Iran's coal prices are relevant to international prices, investments of the private sector can be directed to this industry.

He added that in this case, there will be no need for the government subsidies in the coal industry.

The government is such a state that it cannot invest in the coal industry, Samadi said, adding that good conditions for the private sector's investments can be created in the mining industry, especially in the coal industry, with implementing the right programs.

Iran produces 1,7 million tons of coal concentrate annually, he said, adding that it is possible to draw attention to this sector, given the proved coal reserves in the country.

Mines and increase in production will result in the growth of the employment rates in deprived areas, Samadi said.
