The sales of the Azerbaijani company "Kaan", engaged in the wholesale and retail of tires for cars, trucks and buses, industrial equipment and agricultural machinery, decreased by 12-15 percent, a source at the company told Trend.
The source noted that this is mainly due to a decrease in demand in the local car market.
"Currently, there is a noticeable weakening in this segment of the market. The decrease in car sales is reflected in the sales of our products. Moreover, this trend has been around for the last two or three years," the source said.
The source noted that the seasonal factor also influences the sales to a certain extent.
"For example, sales of our company's products are successfully carried out in summer, spring and autumn. Therefore, traditional stagnation was observed almost the entire winter period," the source added.
The source noted that the products are mainly imported from Turkey, and partly from China.
"Products of both countries are popular in the market, especially the Chinese, because of the affordable prices," the source added.
The company has been operating in Baku since 1998.
