Iran provides only two percent of the volume of products imported by Iran and the neighboring countries, Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Rahmani said, Trend reports citing ILNA.
He pointed out that the automakers were 70 percent behind the plan approved last November. “Many of the workers were exposed to unemployment but these problems were resolved,” he said
Rahmani considered the raw materials, liquidity and the market as three main requirements for ensuring production. "We need to supply raw materials both inside and outside the country, and in order to provide liquidity, we need more cooperation in the banking system, because without liquidity the production cannot be maintained.
Referring to the suspension of 2,185 production units that were not active and should not receive raw materials, he said: "The necessary systems have been completed to use for monitoring in the industry.”
"Given that Iran’s share comprises only two percent of the region’s export worth $1,300 billion, we should take all necessary steps to raise this figure," said the Minister.
