Turkish company to invest in factory construction in Kazakhstan

Yildirim Holding of Turkey will invest the construction of another soda ash manufacturing factory in Kazakhstan, Trend reports via LS news agency.

The factory worth $270 million will be built in Jambyl region of Kazakhstan.

The estimated year of the project’s realization is 2022. The factory is to be situated in Sarysu district of the Jambyl region.

“The construction of the factory will cost $270 million. Qazaqsoda is the applicant of the project, whereas Yildirim Holding of Turkey is the investor,” the report said.

The volume of manufacturing will amount to 400,000 tons of production per year with an estimated increase of manufacturing up to 1.2 million tons per year. The estimated amount of new work places is 250-500.

The manufactured soda ash is not only to be sold on the local market but is also to be exported to other CIS countries.

“Currently mining exploration works are being done in the region. The Turkish side allocated $1 million for this purpose,” the report said.
