What agriculture projects are implemented in Kazakhstan's Arys?

Umirzak Shukeyev, the head of the Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region, got acquainted with the projects that are being realized in the Arys city, Trend reports citing Kazinform.

The head of the region visited Kazyna Zher Ltd in the Akdala rural district. The plant manufacturing milk was launched in 2012. It has 2,858 ha of land and 1,200 head of Holstein Friesian cattle.

The average volume of 25 liters of milk per cow is produced at the plant, which employs 52 people.

The head of the region visited the workshops of the Arys Mineral Water factory. The non-alcoholic beverages company covering one hectare was established in 2018. The investment value of the project amounts to 250 million tenge. The annual production reaches 18 million liters. The company is planning to expand the range of manufactured products.

Furthermore, Umirzak Shukeyev got acquainted with the process of the solar park construction. The output volume of the solar park, which occupies 30 ha, equals to 14 MW. This joint project is implemented by the French company UrboSolar with the loan from European Bank for Reconstruction and Development loan. The cost of the project is seven billion tenge. Some 30 people will be employed after the launch of the park.

Umirzak Shukeyev ests also visited the agricultural production cooperative SPK-1 of Cotton International company in the Baiyrkum rural district. The cooperative is to manufacture cotton. In total, five billion tenge were invested in the establishment of the cotton-producing cooperative. Currently, the cooperative possesses 5,000 ha of land. Within the first stage of the project implementation, 2,000 ha of land are to be developed, whereas the rest of the land is to be developed next year during the second stage.

The cooperative will use new technologies, which will help to reduce the water consumption by five times. Some 500 people are to be employed after the launch of the project.
