By the end of 2020, Azerbaijan’s Pasha Bank plans to fully integrate banking operations into the digital banking system, said Taleh Kazimov, chairman of the bank’s board, Trend reports.

He noted the significant innovative advantages of digital banking compared to traditional banking services, stressing that digital banking is four times more efficient than traditional banking.

He added that in May last year, the bank’s digital laboratory was established, which employs over 50 people. During intensive work, there are plans to increase the number of laboratory employees, he said.

Kazimov noted that the strategic goal of the bank is to ensure the implementation of 90 percent of all client operations through digital channels by 2020.

As an example, he said that 94 percent of all non-cash transactions of legal entities and private entrepreneurs, including foreign exchange transactions and payment orders, were conducted using digital channels of this laboratory last year.
