New highway to be built in Turkey's east

A new highway will be built in Turkey's Sanliurfa, Trend reports referring to the country's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.

The total length of the highway will be 90 kilometers. The total cost of the project is 45 billion Turkish liras.

The project also envisages construction of five bridges and ten underground passages.

The total budget allocated for the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey for implementing transport and infrastructure projects in the country will amount to 64.275 billion Turkish liras in 2020-2021.

Some 31.183 billion liras will be allocated for the implementation of projects in 2020, which will be 3.413 billion liras more compared to the budget for 2019.

An amount of 31.092 billion liras will be allocated for the implementation of projects in 2021.
