The Tashkent Mechanical Plant of Uzbekistan intends to commission 16 enterprises with a total value of almost $385 million in 2019-2020, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
Nowadays, more than 10 enterprises operate there with more than 2, 500 employees.
However, this does not correspond to the potential of this huge complex, which covers an area of 141 hectares. As reported. for the effective implementation of its capabilities, a technopark was set up at the plant.
It is planned that the new enterprises will produce more than one million washing machines, one million cookers, the same amount of household refrigerators, 75,000 commercial refrigerators and freezers, and 700,000 electric water heaters per year.
The product range manufactured by these enterprises will also include 550,000 hydraulic pumps, 80,000 industrial air conditioners, 2,000 elevators and escalators, as well as aluminum and bimetallic radiators, accessories, sandwich panels, linoleum and other products.
It is expected to create about 9,000 jobs and produce export products at nearly $ 185 million per year.
