During first five months of 2019, the manufacturing value of paper and paper products in Kazakhstan amounted to 26.1 billion tenge ($67.993 million), Trend reports with reference to Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of Kazakhstan.
The index of actual volume of the production amounted to 103 percent. “This growth is due to the volume increase in manufacturing of corrugated and perforated paper and cardboard, and toilet paper in reels or in sheets ,” the report said.
The largest part (58.9 percent) of the manufacturing volume accounts for cardboard boxes, 22.3 percent accounts for hygiene products, and 18.8 percent accounts for paper and cardboard.
At the beginning of 2019, 282 ventures operate in paper and paper products manufacturing. As reported, three of them are big ventures, eight are medium enterprises and 271 are small ventures.
Within the industrialization roadmap for 2015-2018, three projects worth 400 million tenge were realized in Kazakhstan. These projects provided for manufacturing of corrugated cardboard and packaging, toilet paper and paper bags.
