Malaysia may produce building materials in Uzbekistan

Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur organized a visit of Malaysian business delegation led by Vice President of Malacca Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) Yew Geok Hui to the country from July 8-10, 2019, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

On July 8, the delegation held a meeting with the leadership of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, a round table with the Chamber of Commerce, as well as B2B meetings with representatives of the business circles of Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed issues of further development of mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation. In addition, an agreement was reached to consider the possibility of export of agricultural products from Uzbekistan to Malaysia; implementation of investment projects in the creation of industrial complexes for the processing of fruits and vegetables; and production of modern building materials.

Visits to FEZ "Angren" site and to a number of industrial enterprises of Uzbekistan are scheduled to be made on July 9.

Malacca Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1915 by ethnic Chinese, who constitute 40 percent of the total population of the region. It unites almost all the companies of the state of Malacca of Malaysia. The main activity of MCCCI is to assist its members in identifying foreign partners for the implementation of investment projects and trading operations.
