Iran exported goods worth $2.5 billion to Iraq in 100 days

Iran has exported $2.5 billion goods to Iraq over past 100 days, which is 20 percent growth in exports comparing to last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), said the secretary general of Iran-Iraq join Chamber of Commerce, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.

"The statistics show, that Iran exports goods to Iraq valued $25 million a day, the priority in current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) is to develop trade ties with Iraq in industry and service sector, " Hamid Hosseinihe said during Iran and Iraq trade meeting.

" Iran-Iraq joint Chamber of Commerce future plans include signing an agreement and utilizing Iran's exports foreign currency revenues to import from Iraq by cooperation of the Central Bank of Iraq, following Iraq debt payment to contractors by using a $200 million credit line for reconstruction projects in Iraq," he said.

"Among other priorities are the development of customs infrastructures, establishment of Iran's trade service and market centers in Iraq's Basra and Iraqi Kurdistan, construction of free industrial cities on borders of two countries and addressing the issue of long term visa for businessmen and exporters of goods, services and drivers that transport cargo ," he noted.
