By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:

The French construction company SADE, which participates in the implementation of two projects in Azerbaijan, will soon complete construction of treatment facilities and water reservoirs in two regions of the country, the company’s deputy director Philippe Depardieu told Trend.

He said that the company is engaged in the construction of water treatment facilities in Shabran and Siyazan districts.

“The total cost of the projects is $70 million,” he noted. “These are government projects that are funded by major international banks including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. We plan to complete projects by the end of this year.”

He added that the company is considering participation in new projects in Azerbaijan.

“We have already received proposals on participation in the projects of Azerbaijan’s water operator Azersu OJSC for the construction and cleaning of water reservoirs in the districts,” he said. “We are considering these proposals of the Azerbaijani side. We also are considering other proposals, in particular, on participation in the state irrigation projects of the Ministry of Agriculture. We plan to get more familiar with these projects and decide on the choice in the near future.”

The deputy director noted that the French company is ready to consider proposals for participation in the projects for the construction of waste recycling plants in Azerbaijan. “We are particularly interested in major state infrastructure projects, both in Baku and in the districts,” he said.

In 2018, SADE took an active part in the implementation of the “Agilli Sheher” (Smart City) project and in projects in the field of land reclamation. The company has been operating in Azerbaijan for more than 10 years.
