İmport products' prices up in Kazakhstan

During first five months of 2019, import prices went up by 3.3 percent and export prices increased by six percent in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

During the reporting period, increase of import prices is observed on vegetables (41.1 percent), sausages (7.8 percent), fish (7.6 percent), milk products (five percent), coffee (4.2 percent), poultry meat (2.9 percent), margarine (1.9 percent, tea (1.2 percent) and vegetable oil (1.1 percent).

The price of plastic increased by 5.3 percent, wood by 5.1 percent, construction materials by 3.9 percent, and paper 3.2 percent. In turn, prices of tobacco decreased by 1.2 percent, of sugar by one percent, of leather by 1.8 percent, and lacquers and paints by 1.2 percent.

The increase of export prices is observed on ferrous and non-ferrous ores (35 percent), coal (21.4 percent), zinc (11.9 percent), oil (11.8 percent), Portland cement (7.4 percent), copper (6.5 percent) and lead (2.3 percent).

Furthermore, the price of exported ferroalloys decreased by 12.7 percent and of rolling of ferrous metals by 1.9 percent.

The increase of export pricing is observed on wheat (18.9 percent), rice (7.7 percent), cotton (four percent) and wool (1.7 percent).
