Some 200 kilograms of gold bullion will be produced annually at Bijrood Gold Plant in Bardaskan County of Iran’s northeastern Razavi Khorasan Province, said Mohsen Khorsand, CEO at Madankaran Asia Peyjoo Binalood, Trend reports referring to IRIB.
According to him, 97 percent progress has been made in construction works in the plant and 1 trillion rials (app. $23.8 million) have been spent so far.
Khorsand added that the plant has 900,000 tons of gold reserves, with an average of 1.7 grams of fine gold per ton.
It was also noted that 150 people will be employed with the commissioning of the plant.
