The copper cathode production of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) has increased by 26 percent over the 4 months (March 21-July 22) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), Trendreports referring to the website of the Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the information, production increased by 18,000 tons to 90,500 tons.
NICICO produced 23,000 tons of cathodes over the 4 months of the current year, and also produced 117,500 tons of anode during this period, with anode production showing a 17-percent increase.
Moreover, copper concentrate production increased by 5 percent during the aforementioned period. As such, the company produced 400,600 tons of copper concentrate. The copper concentrate production saw a 10-percent increase during this period, reaching 101,000 tons.
