Int'l airport in Kazakhstan sees passenger traffic increase

The volume of passenger traffic in Kazakhstan’s Almaty International Airport has amounted to 1.388 million passengers in 1H2019, which is 17,316 people more than during the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to company’s report.

Furthermore, the increase of passenger traffic is expected in 2H2019 due to the new company Fly Arystan, the report said.

“Thus, during the reporting period total number of air flights amounted to 15,000, the number of passengers served equaled 2.8 million people, the volume of processed cargo exceeded 30,600 tons and the volume of jet fuel used stood at 69,710 tons,” the statement said.

“Overall income of the airport during 1H2019 amounted to 35.2 billion tenge, 3.8 billion tenge of which accounted for regulated service. The net revenue of the airport equaled 3.7 billion tenge,” stated in the report.

“The expenditures on service of providing for take-off and landing stood at 2.360 billion tenge, which is four percent more than the planned volume,” the report said.

“The revenue from providing for take-off and landing amounted to 2.804 billion tenge, which is three percent less than the planned vale. The income from providing for take-off and landing of military aircrafts amounted to 443 million tenge,” the statement said.

“Furthermore, the revenue from provision of parking spaces for aircrafts on base airdrome equaled 14 million tenge. The revenue from provision of parking spaces for military aircrafts amounted to 20 million tenge,” the report said.

Almaty International Airport is a major transport and logistics hub of Central Asia, which offers a wide range of offers on international level and which leads in Kazakhstan by volume of internal and international passenger and cargo air transport.
