Russian companies intend to establish export to Uzbekistan

Producers of wheat, chickpea, safflower, sunflower, metal rolling and compound feed from the Orenburg region of Russia will hold meetings with Tashkent entrepreneurs on the export of products to Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Russian media.

A business mission organized by the regional Russian Export Support Center will last from August 6 to 9.

From the Orenburg region, the delegation included LLC Agrotradegroup TD (wheat, sunflower, chickpea and safflower production), MetizStroy LLC (metal products and hardware) and APH Rus LLC (compound feed).

Entrepreneurs will have meetings in ministries and relevant organizations. Negotiations are also expected on the development of cooperation between Russian and Uzbek enterprises.

In 2013-2018, foreign trade turnover between Uzbekistan and the Orenburg region showed steady growth. The Russian region, in particular, exported products from plastic, metal, wood, paper, inorganic chemistry products and much more.

A significant increase in food exports have observed from Russia since 2014 - from $17 billion to $25 billion.

Uzbekistan accounted for 8.1 percent in 2018, and 4.1 percent in the first quarter of this year of regional foreign trade of Orenburg.
