Uzbekistan expressed its readiness to consider the proposals of the British company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for the transformation of national postal infrastructure, Trend reports with reference to Uzbekistan Post JSC.

The issue was discussed at a meeting with a delegation of PwC held at Uzbekistan Post.

Members of the delegation presented the results of the PwC work on various projects implemented with the postal operators of Russia and Poland. In particular, it was stressed that the modernization, conducted through the projects designed by PwC, of the postal service of Russia, which several years ago was on the verge of bankruptcy, helped it to return to the status of a profitable organization.

Over the past 10 years, PwC has been supporting transformation of the Polish postal service. The most important and effective projects are related to the establishment of e-commerce not only in goods, but also in financial services packages and modernization of the logistics infrastructure of the Polish Post. As a result, Poland Post occupies today 6th place in the world and 1st place in Europe in the ranking of the Universal Postal Union.

PwC representatives stated that Poland and Uzbekistan have much in common and for this reason, the projects implemented in Poland may be relevant for the Uzbekistan Post.

However, decisions will be made only after a thorough study of the situation in the postal market in the country and taking into account the views of Uzbek specialists, read the message.
