Georgia increased the import of medicines from Turkey in January-July 2019,Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
Medicines worth $53.16 million were imported from Georgia to Turkey.
Over the same period last year, medicines worth $34.35 million were imported to Georgia from Turkey.
In the first seven months of 2019, total imports to Georgia from Turkey amounted to $864 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $135 million to Turkey.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to July 2019 exceeded $999 million, which is 14.1 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
According to Geostat, Turkey remains the largest trading partner for Georgia.
