Uzbekistan is interested in increasing the number of temporary storage warehouses on the state border with Russia for agricultural products coming to Russia from Uzbekistan, Trend reports with reference to Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor).
The adviser to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia Shohrukh Gulamov stated this during the meeting at Rosselkhoznadzor.
In turn, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Yulia Shvabauskene asked to send an official letter from the competent department of Uzbekistan and promised to consider this appeal.
On August 29, the parties held negotiations, during which they discussed ensuring the safety of fruit and vegetable products supplied from Uzbekistan to Russia.
Representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor noted that if necessary, they are ready to consider the possibility to arrange visits to Uzbekistan to conduct pre-shipment control of fruits and vegetables to be delivered to Russia.
The Uzbek side expressed interest in negotiating between the Rosselkhoznadzor and the competent authority from their side.
